About
the Sjorrie
In 2007
we started this project. This tool is developed to wind up tie down straps.
After truck drivers unloaded their cargo and want to store the straps easily
and have them ready
and set for the next load. In
conjunction with people from the workfield and after several prototypes
the
first model of this tool was produced. In 2009 PM Tools reworked the model and
manufactured
the sjorrie out of stainless steel. Sjorrie
is the tool no truck driver can do without, the
sjorrie is developed
for winding up standard straps from 9 meter x 50
millimeter but will wind up to 12 meter straps max. working
with the sjorrie is cleaner more comfortable and faster than winding the straps
by hand
The Sjorrie:
* handheld
* made out of stainless steel
* the
sjorrie will take out kinks
* can be
used by left and righthand
With the
sjorrie straps will be wounded tight and take up less storagespace. Contact
between the hands
and the straps is minimized when the sjorrie is used. The
straps are wounded up with the hook on
the far
end not only for safety reasons but the weight will make te role nice
and tight.
The role can easily
be thrown over the highest loads and by winding the straps in this fasion it
safes a
walk around the trailer when tying down a new load compared to winding
a strap starting with the hook
what is the common practice when winding up the
straps by hand.
